Battery is the core component, and also the key element to determine life span of a solar energy system. Batteries currently on the market, are mostly lead-acid batteries, which have a relatively short service life; ternary lithium batteries are not suitable for outdoor use. We use 3.2V liFePO4 battery, working temperature range is from – 47 ° to 70 °, and discharge efficiency reaches 95%. The discharge efficiency of lead-acid battery is about 65%.
P-O bone of LiFePO4 battery is stable and hard to decompose. Even high temperature or overcharge, will not occur structure collapse, fever, neither form strong oxidation substances, therefore it guarantees good safety performance.
At low temperature, when battery charge discharge rate is higher than 2C , it is easy to cause crystal precipitation in electrolyte, which can puncture the battery valve and cause battery damage. By controlling the charge and discharge rate at about 0.2C, Euler Energy effectively avoids this problem and ensures the low temperature performance.
In addition, the configuration of solar panel and battery is designed, which charging current will not exceed 0.2C. It ensures working performance even in Hailaer. (daily average minimum temperature – 27 ℃).
